On July 7th, 2005 The Frankton Town and Country Baseball League hosted a regional baseball tournament that consisted of a 5-day event that brought All-Star teams from around the state into this community.
At a time when the league was struggling with its finances and was looking for additional ways to raise money to support its activities league representative approached Southern Yankee and Other area business to assist with a fundraising event surrounding the upcoming tournament.
As a show of community support and involvement and in an effort to give back particularly in a time of need such as the one they were presenting, Southern Yankee Bar-B-Q fired up and helped staff one if its mobile smoker units for to aid in the fundraising process.
Both the tournament and the fundraiser was a complete success.
Southern Yankee Bar-B-Q feels it is important and of great value to do what it can to support and give back to the community in this fashion.
